Barth Offshore Crane Inspections

Unocal Mono Pod Platform

Tom Barth's experience as an offshore crane operator was the foundation of his offshore crane inspections and offshore crane operator training businesses. He worked on the Unocal Mono Pod Platform in Cook Inlet, in the Gulf of Alaska, offloading supply boats from the platform under adverse conditions, including 30-foot tides running at 13 mph. He also working on the George F. Ferris and J.C. Marthans platforms and on a variety of floating barges. Tom understands the unique stresses and conditions that affect performance and safety in an offshore environment.
